G-TERCOA LAUNCHES CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR THE XV DIMA 2026
Published at: April 3, 2026 Category: 2026, Call for Proposals, DIMA, NoticesThe Research Group on Weaving Cognitive Learning Networks (G-TERCOA/CNPq/UFC) has launched Call for Papers No. 04/2026, which regulates the submission of papers for the XV Dialogues on Mathematics and Pedagogy (XV DIMA), an event already established in the group’s calendar.
The 2026 edition has as its central theme “LDB 30 YEARS: LIMITS, CHALLENGES AND PERSPECTIVES,” proposing reflections on the advances and obstacles of the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education over three decades. The event seeks to promote dialogue between Mathematics and Pedagogy, contributing to the initial and continuing training of teachers, as well as encouraging innovative and collaborative pedagogical practices.
The 15th DIMA will be held in person on May 6th and 20th, 2026, at the facilities of the Regional Research Center (NUPER) and the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Ceará (FACED/UFC), in Fortaleza, in allusion to Mathematics Day and Pedagogue’s Day, respectively. The program will include reflective panels, mini-courses, cultural presentations, lectures, and sessions for the presentation of scientific papers. Later, the lectures and panels will be broadcast on the G-TERCOA YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@g-tercoaufc3648).
Registration for the event is open from April 2nd to May 6th, 2026, and participation is possible with or without submission of papers. The deadline for submitting academic papers is April 20, 2026, encompassing different Working Groups (WGs) that address topics such as public evaluation policies, curriculum, teacher training, teaching practices, and ethnic-racial diversity, based on the LDB (Law 9394/96). Papers may be submitted in the form of extended abstracts or simple abstracts, with oral presentations or pitches, respectively, and will undergo peer review. To view the call for papers, access the link: edital-xv-dima-2026. The announcement of approved papers is scheduled for May 10, 2026.
This initiative highlights G-TERCOA’s commitment to scientific production and the promotion of spaces for dialogue between researchers, professors, and students. The 15th DIMA thus consolidates itself as a space for the discussion of relevant issues in Brazilian education, especially at an emblematic moment of analysis of the 30 years of the LDB (Brazilian Law of Directives and Bases of National Education).
